- Who is eligible for program? Anyone with employment barriers: people experiencing homelessness, individuals formerly or currently incarcerated, people in addiction recovery, survivors of domestic violence and veterans.
- How long is the program? The 12 week training program will provide soft-skills training, basic baking skills training , ServSafe certification and assistance with employment placement.
- Will I get paid while in training? Yes! Students will earn a training stipend.
- Is transportation provided: Transportation will be provided to and from the training facility .
- How do I apply? The application can be filled out on-line or a hard copy can be prequested by contacting Rise and Shine directly.
STAFFing
A full-time Program Director is on-site to provide social services, case management and employment resources for the students. A full-time Instructor teaches professional baking skills including production of baked goods for distribution. Additionally, we provide transportation to and from the training site, critical to eliminating the biggest barriers to both employment and completion of any training program. At the end of the 12-week program, there is a graduation ceremony and assistance with employment opportunities.

The mission of Rise and Shine, Inc. is to provide workforce training and jobs in the baking industry for people with employment barriers including Individuals experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, current or former incarceration, addiction recovery veterans and youth aging out of foster care.
